Home Key
Pressing this button will take you back to the main screen when you are done searching through your phone. If you press the home button a couple of times it will toggle between two screens. The main screen with options along the bottom (left), or a screen with some apps (right).
Navigation Keys/Select Key
The middle button – This works as an ‘ok’ or ‘select’ button for any options you want to click on.
Up – This shows your favourites contacts.
Down – This shows your missed calls.
Left – This shows your received calls which you have answered.
Right – This shows your placed calls of who you have rang.
The Up, Down, Left, Right keys will only show these options if you are on the Main screen, shown above. If you are on the app screen, then these buttons will just move between the apps instead. To get off these options, click the home button to go back.
Soft Keys
The 4 soft keys, just below the screen, change depending on what you click on etc, but it will always let you know what each key does on the screen just above them. Here are a few useful ones to know:
Call Forwarding - The second soft key along, called 'Forward', will take you to a screen where you can choose when you want your calls to be forwarded. Once you click on one of the options, you can enter the phone number you want your calls to be forwarded too.
- Always – This will send the call straight to your chosen number whenever someone tries to call your extension. Your desk phone will not ring, but the chosen number will call out.
- No answer – Your desk phone will ring as normal, but if you don’t answer after a few rings then it will start to call your chosen number instead.
- Busy – If you are in a call already and someone rings, it will send the call to your chosen number instead.
Do Not Disturb - The option along the bottom called DND (3rd soft key along) is the Do Not Disturb function. When activated, no calls will be put through to your phone. You will know if you’ve clicked on it because you will see this on your main menu, and it will flash across the top where the date is.
Searching the Directory -
- Looking at the options on the screen across the bottom, select the ‘more’ option (which is the 4th soft key)
- You will get new options along the bottom, select ‘Directory’.
- Afters selecting Directory, you need to select ‘Corporate Directory’ which is the second option down.
- You can then search for a member of staff, please note this is done in LAST NAME order.

- After submitting your search, the name should appear with their extension. You can dial by pressing the first option underneath the screen.
Transfer
When you want to transfer a call, you click on the button with the two phones on the left-hand side. You can either write the extension number you want and click ‘Dial’, or you can search the Directory.
- If the person you are trying to forward the call onto answers and wants to take the call, you can hang up your phone and it will put the original caller through.
- If the person you are trying to forward the call onto does not answer, you can click ‘End call’ and it will end the call to the person you are trying to transfer the call onto and take you back to the original caller.
- If the person you are trying to forward the call onto answers, but does not want to take the call, you can either wait for them to hang up or you can click ‘end call’ and it will take you back to the original caller.
